It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George W. Phillips (Muncy Valley, Pennsylvania), who passed away on April 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifton R. Phillips and Florine Phillips (Sones); his wife Lorraine Phillips (Boatman); and his grandson Brandon Phillips. He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Grebe of Sonestown, Sherry Persun (Steve) of Cogan Station, Vicki Kelley of Dushore, Michael Phillips (Charlotte) of North Mountain, Timothy Phillips (Jenny Williamson) of Muncy Valley and Jeffrey Phillips (Kathy) of Dushore. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters-in-law.

In George's memory, contributions may be made to the Muncy Valley Area Fire Co., P.O. Box 9, Muncy Valley, PA 17758.

George was a kind and sincere man whom i had the pleasure to meet and serve as he resided at the upmc muncy skilled nursing & rehabilitation center. As i walked into his room a big smile would come across his face and he would extend his hand into mine and he would always say, "where have you been, i missed you!" george will be deeply missed as i walk pass his room but, his presence will remain forever!”
