He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Kaufman and Ellen Evans Kaufman; his wives, Dorothy Underkoffler Kaufman and Ruth Antes Kaufman; and his sister Gayle Kobularik.
He is survived by: his children, Kim A. K. Hassinger (Robert) of Elizabethville and Leif R. Kaufman (Patty) of Mexico; his grandchildren, Elias Hassinger (Elena), Kaitlin Hansbury (Michael) and Eric Kaufman; and his great grandchildren, Eva, Ellie, Brennan Hansbury, Elliot and Eliza Hassinger. He is also survived by three nieces and one nephew.
