He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Simpson and Elizabeth Pauli Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jean Simpson; and his stepsons, Matthew Clower of Phoenix, AZ, David (Susan) and Clower of Gap.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Vernon Christian Church in Scott's name.
