He was predeceased by: his parents, Dominic Giampietro and Lorraine Giampietro (Pahler); his siblings, Emil Giampietro and Rosemarie Kohl; and his son-in-law John Yanko.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Farley; his children, Matthew Giampietro (Nadine), Mark Giampietro (Cecilia), Christine O'Hara (Joseph), Elaine Yanko and Robert Giampietro (Ruth); and his siblings, Mary Weidlich, Margaret Ann Manzonie (John), John Giampietro (Diane) and Joseph Giampietro (Nancy). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters.
