It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Gwendolyn Hanes (Mount Union, Pennsylvania), born in Howard, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 28, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ruth Gwendolyn leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Tressler and Madline Tressler (Markle); her granddaughter Leandra Hanes; and her siblings, Betty, Fred, Donald and Barry Joe.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Kumpf (Guy), Clyde Edward Hanes (Dusty), Dennis Leroy Hanes (Patricia) and Steven Hanes. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
