He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Pyles and Ida Pyles (Stone); his wife Zella Pyles (Heclo); and his sisters, Esther Shaffer and Hazel Miller.
He is survived by: his daughter Connie J. Cramer; his granddaughters, Kristal Swem (Roy), Portsmouth of Virginia and Bree Whitsel (Mark); and his great grandchildren, Jacob Swem and Caleb Whitsel.
