He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton McElrath and Jane McElrath (Shoop); his wife Shirley A. McElrath (Magnuson); his son Gary McElrath; and his siblings, Dale, Richard, Donald, Carl, Jean, Fred, Tom, Nancy and John.
He is survived by: his sons, James McElrath (Nancy), Gregory McElrath, Scott McElrath (Kelly) and Jeffrey McElrath (Donna); and his brothers, William and Harry McElrath. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Heath-Anderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services (61 E Shirley St, Mt Union, PA 17066).
