He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Getz and Edna Getz (Flasher); his son Randy Getz; and his significant other Delores Rabenstein. He is survived by: his children, Allen Getz (Brenda) of Kistler, Sharon Cox (Terry) of Kistler, Dennis Getz of Kistler, Kathy Wright of Kistler, Bobbi Goshorn and Newton Hamilton. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
