Joan Dengler Montgomery Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2022, Joan Dengler Montgomery of Mount Pocono, Pennsylvania passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reese LeRoy Dengler and Nell Stone Dengler; her siblings, John, Reese Dengler and Lorraine; her brother-in-law Robert L. Shackleford; and her niece Lou.
She is survived by: her former husband David Montgomery, Jr. (Krista); her children, David M. Montgomery (Mitzi), Meredith E. Montgomery (Phil Ross), Melissa M. Toye, Mitchell S. Montgomery and Anneliese M. Taylor (Glenn); her grandchildren, Sean, Erin Ross, Brianne Toye Brienza (Shaun), Zachary Montgomery-Wicks, Candace M. Babiarz (Chester) and Caitlin Taylor (Cody Morgan); her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Wesley Babiarz and Chase Brienza; and her granddaughters, Maura Murray and Alyssa Toye. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, the rest of her extensive family, and many new and lifelong friends.
Donations in Joan's memory to the Animal Welfare Society of Monroe County (AWSOM), the Monroe County Historical Association, or the animal rescue organization of your choice, will be deeply appreciated.
