He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford W. Baird and Eleanor Ruth Baird (Finfrock); his wife Rachel E. Stants; his granddaughter Rachel Ladisic; his brother Benjamin Baird; his nephew Bobby Baird; and his niece Kathleen Brown Florian.
He is survived by: his children, Becci Miller (Dave) of Ruffsdale and Bill "Smokey" Baird (Anita) of Richeyville; his grandchildren, Kisih Walters (Nick), Carle Peternal (Benjamin) and Garrett Baird; and his great grandchildren, Cassidy and Connor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
