It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sophia M. Shutty of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 21, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Fiedor and Frances Szuba Fiedor; her husband Walter F. Shutty, Sr.; and her siblings, Stanley, Joseph Fiedor, Victoria Ogrodny, Angeline Zelenak, Bernice Fiedor and Euphrasia Szuba.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Steve Dickerman of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra Shutty, Beth of Harrisburg, Robert Shutty, Diane of West Newton and Dr. Walter Shutty; her great grandchildren, Nina and Carmella Rennie; her siblings, Frank Fiedor (Dolores) and Alice F. Hostoffer; and her sister-in-law Catherine Shutty of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions may be made to St. Pius X RC Church in memory of Sophia Shutty.
