He is survived by: his wife Barbara McConnell Ackerman; his children, Kevin Ackerman (Marsha) of Mount Pleasant and Kim DeMarchi (John) of Stahlstown; his grandchildren, Chad Ackerman, Dustin Ackerman (Caitlyn), Brittany Bergquist (John) and John T. DeMarchi (Lindsay); and his brothers, Richard Ackerman (Gloria) of Latrobe and William Ackerman (Julia) of Latrobe.
