He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Kaputa and Susan Kaputa (Marink); and his siblings, Joseph, John, Steven Kaputa, Ann Mattia, Helen Tortorelli, Julia Miscovich and Mary Pavick.
He is survived by: his wife Sonia Kaputa (Besida); his children, James, Robert Kaputa and Jill Como (Neil) of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Lauren, Lindsey Kaputa and Leah Hostetler (Corey Flesse); and his great grandchild Jacob Flesse.
