With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Josephine C. Cernuska of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 26, 2024 at the age of 95. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Witek and Mary Shea Witek; her former husband Paul Nemeth; and her siblings, Walter, Joseph, Alice, Helen and Joanne.
She is survived by: her husband John Cernuska; her brother Edward Witek (Leona) of Irwin; her children, Paul "Patrick" Nemeth (Susan) of North Huntingdon, Janice Frederick (Terry) of Mt. Pleasant, Mark Nemeth of Hecla and Colleen Hall (Larry) of Delaware; her grandchildren, Jennifer Einfalt (Kirk), Jocelyn Martin-Frederick, Mark Nemeth Jr. (Jennifer), Rachel Young (Hampton) and Anna Hall; and her great grandchildren, Madeline, Natalie, Nathan, Ava, Mina, Carson and Nyx. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 9:15 AM and at 10:00 AM. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church (525 Porter Ave, Scottdale, PA 15683).
