He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Bodenheimer Knopp; and his wife Sue Knopp Private. He is survived by: his stepfather Fred Hood; and his brother Louis Knopp, Sr. (Anita) of Derry. He is also survived by his 8 children; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, In-laws and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John may be made to the Homeless Veterans Wounded Warrior Project or to the American Pittbull Foundation for the Pittbull Awareness program.
