He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Anderson (Smith) and James A. Anderson; and his sisters, Wilda Chearney (George), Ruby Sebek and Nancy Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kowanda Anderson; his children, Timothy "Timmy" Anderson (Laura) of Connellsville, Christopher Anderson (Danielle) of Pittsburgh and Jamie Duvall (Clay) of Mount Pleasant; his grandchildren, Skyler Anderson, Eli, Austin and Isabella Duvall; and his siblings, John Anderson (Sharon) of Melcroft, Mary Jane Hostetler (Peter) of Melcroft and Jack Anderson (Dottie) of Melcroft.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude's Childress Research Hospital in memory of James R. Anderson.
