It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfonso M. Maida (Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 9, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmanuel Maida and Francesca Cutaia Maida; his wife Margaret Ann Hudak Maida; his daughter Frances Kenney; his great grandchild Joey Kenney; his siblings, Ang Koontz, Elizabeth Burns, Gerald Maida and Joseph Maida; and his close friend Evelyn Yurechko.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia Ann Wannninger (Rick) and Michael Maida (Susan); his son-in-law Joseph Kenney; his grandchildren, Ryan Kenney (Julie), Samantha Dengel (Justin), Matthew Kenney (Jessica), Timothy Wanninger (Amanda) and Amanada Maida; his great grandchildren, Lucy, Riley, Lydia, Layla, Colton, Cora, Maizey, Cooper, Sean, Gracelynn and Caleb; and his brothers, Dr. Frank V. Maida (Phyllis) and Peter P. Maida. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many great friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Department, 100 S. Church St., Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666, in Memory of Al Maida.
