With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alberta Mates of Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 9, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Alberta Mates to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Permuka and Mary Frances Spearnock Permuka; her husband Emerson Mates; and her sisters, Rose Vrable, Ann Clawson and Frances Kern.
She is survived by: her sons, David A. Mates (Colette) of Scottdale and John E. Mates (Kimberly) of Monroeville; her grandchildren, Ryan Mates (Lori), Adam Mates (Vickie), Maria Mates and Barbara Mates; her great grandchildren, Ethan and Carter Mates; and her brother John Permuka, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
