She was predeceased by: her parents, John J. Piper and Bertha L. Piper (Lewis); and her husband Homer D. "Sonny" Canter. She is survived by: her children, Richard L. "Bud" Darr (Theresa Paugh) of Mount Morris, Raymond C. Darr (Angela) of Mount Morris and Shirley M. Howard (Ed) of Greensboro; her grandchildren, Scott Howard (Amber), Amy Ponzoo, Lori Rankin, Joe Darr (Heather), Jaime McLead (Mike), Karen Mayle, Steven Darr and Jessica Darr; her sister Pearl Hopson of Brunswick, Maine; and her close friend Frank Gutta (Kimberly Cox). She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
