It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carleen J. Mertes of Mount Morris, Pennsylvania, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 16, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oswald Hay and Grace Katke Hay. She is survived by: her husband Robert F. Mertes; her daughters, Carlette Mertes of Pea Ridge, AR., Lynnette Powers of Mt. Morris, PA., Lori Blackwell of Mt and Mary Mertes of Mt. Morris, PA.; her brother Harvey Hay of Trevor, WI.; and her close friend John Lipscomb. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandson.
