It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martin Schmude of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Eric Schmude (Michele), Lisa McGreal and Lynn Roberto (Ralph); his grandchildren, Christian, Erica Schmude, Kelly Sklar (Joshua), Sarah Stapleton (Richard), Marissa and Joseph Roberto; his great grandchild Owen Martin Sklar; and his sister Eva Pongrace (Paul). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Bernard Church (St. Michael the Archangel Parish) on Monday January 18, 2021 at 10:00 A. M. (masks and social distancing will be required).

“I worked with Marty. I adored him. He was a good man and loved his family. So proud of his children. I remember one daughter worked for a summer at the office at the intersection of Washington and McFarland Rd. He used to tell me to put Vaseline on my teeth to make it easier to smile when I had to fill in for dispatching. Always a big smile, a kind word and a warm heart. One of the best people I have had the privilege of knowing. Deepest sympathy to his family.”
