She was predeceased by: her husband Philip J. Sweeney; her parents, Daniel Ireland and Isabel Ireland (Brown); and her pets, Jean, Tara, Zeus, Maple, Oscar, Snuggles, Chloe, Buster, Muffin, Louie and Gertie.
She is survived by: her children, Suzanne C. Sweeney of Indianapolis, IN and Philip T. Sweeney of Pittsburgh; and her grandchildren, Erica Sweeney, Jackson Burrow and Olive.
