He was predeceased by: his parents, Marlin Witmer and Sara Witmer (Nissley); and his siblings, Norman, Eugene, Clarence Witmer and Verna Mae Hostetter.
He is survived by: his son Mitchell T. Witmer; his close friends, Tammie Taylor of Elizabethtown and S. Scott Witmer (Denise) of Maine; and his siblings, John, Bruce, Jerry Witmer and Pat Groff. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
