She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Shearer and Sarah Shearer (Ebersole); her husband D. Lester Smeltz; her grandson Adam Ober; her son-in-law Ronald Krause; and her sister Dorothy Walters.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Krause (late Ronald) of Lancaster and Debra Ober (Jere) of Mount Joy; and her sisters, Mary Haldeman of Brethren Village and Esther Yeagley of Elizabethtown. She is also survived by four grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
