He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernie T. Byrd and Sophia Byrd (Decker); his wife Betty Byrd (Cutler); his sons, James W. and Gary L. Byrd; and his siblings, Fred F., Billy M. Byrd and Ila Mae Monroe.
He is survived by: his children, Dale A. Byrd (Donna) of Mount Joy, William G. Byrd of Mastersonville, Pamela J. McClain of Lancaster and Kenneth C. Byrd (Kristen); and his siblings, Ruth Linkous (Carson) and Kenneth C. Byrd (Margaret) of Jonesboro, TN.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
