He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Wilbur and Eleanor May Witherow Linebaugh; his wife Eva Jane Bush Linebaugh; and his siblings, Wilbur, Russel Linebaugh, Ethel Grace and Faith Lucille Linebaugh.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas Robert Linebaugh (Joy) of Mechanicsburg, Amy Jane Scherrer (Doug) of Olathe, David Kirby Linebaugh (Lok) of Boiling Springs, Donald Edward Linebaugh (Judy) of Mount Holly Springs and Melanie Joy Gentile (Sal) of Dataw Island; his grandchildren, Tricia, Ty, Crystal, Jessica, Laura, Rachel, Heather, Danielle, Garrett, Madeline, Benjamin, Puja and Priya; his great grandchildren, James, Brooke, Rhys, Isabel, Robert, William, Reece, Lyla, Andie, Calvin and Naomi; and his brother Ira Ross Linebaugh. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
