He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Ott Stem and Dorthea Anna Nicholson (Christianson); and his children, Robert W. J. Nicholson and Jennifer N. Nicholson. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Nicholson (Grace); his son Adam W. Nicholson; his daughter-in-law Pamela Nicholson of Carlisle; and his grandchildren, Alicia M. Beecher (Eric), Robert W. J. Nicholson Jr. (Paris) and Emily R. Porter (Cory). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
