He was predeceased by: his wife Norma D. Smyers (Shearer); his sons, Dennis D. Smyers and Randy L. Smyers; and his siblings, Doralyn Renolds, Helen Grove, Harold, Kenneth and Richard Smyers.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald and Jody A. Smyers of Mt. Holly Springs; and his brother Rodney Smyers (Esther) of Mechanicsburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
