He is survived by: his wife Margaret Humbel Smith (Peg); his children, Julia (Paul Stevenson) of Hanover and Timothy (Sara Smith) of Centreville, VA; and his grandchildren, Daniel (Allison Smith), Christopher Smith, Samuel Smith, Joshua (Liz Stevenson), Jaimee Stevenson and Margaret Stevenson.
