He was predeceased by: his former wife Bessie Van Sickle; his parents, Leslie Sickle and Dorothy Zeiler Van Sickle; and his sisters, Lois Jayne and Naomi Franklin.
He is survived by: his wife Grace Butler; his daughter Sandra Van Sickle Jayne of Clarks Summit; and his brother LLoyd Van Sickle (Dolly) of Old Forge. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
