He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sebastian and Josephine Sebastian (Barrett); and his siblings, Dolores Morris, John and Robert Sebastian.
He is survived by: his son Scott Sebastian (Kristen) of Durham; his grandchildren, Alexandra and Aidan Sebastian; and his spouse Yoneko Sebastian (Uchida). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
