It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel W. Mellor of Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania, born in Plainfield, New Jersey, who passed away on December 3, 2022, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Mellor and Patricia "Patsy" Mellor (Parnell); and his brothers, Raymond Mellor and David Mellor. He is survived by: his daughter Alexandra Mellor-Wysocki (Ryan) of Poughquag; his sister Theresa "Terry" Hummel (Dean) of Mount Carmel; his nephew David Hummel of Bloomsburg; his niece Callie Hummel of Mt. Carmel; and his great-nephew Nolan Yaneck. He is also survived by cousins and friends.

My heart goes out to you for not only the loss of Danny, but also the deaths of your mom and Davey in 2020. My best wishes to you and your family during this sad time.. “I want to offer my condolences to Dan's family. Dan was the first person I met when I began attending Mount Carmel area junior-senior high school. It was the first day of 7th grade. I didn't know anyone. Dan was sitting at my table. There was an election for home room rep. Dan said I should. I said I would if he voted for me. He said he would so I ran. I got 1 vote...Dan's.
