He was predeceased by: his parents, Kurt Sonntag and Elsa Sonntag (Bushman). He is survived by: his wife Margrit E. Sonntag (Deichmann); and his siblings-in-law, Joan Deichmann, Elke Hekler and Herb Hekler. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
