He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward and Charlotte (Gainer); his wife Margaret (Peggy); his son Peter; and his siblings, Edward, Elmer, Giles, Charlotte Baird, Donald, Mary Jane Lewis, Roger and Clinton.

He is survived by: his sons, Jeff (Amy Ackaway), Roy (Annette), James (Karen) and Michael (Cathy); his grandchildren, William, Jennifer, Cristie, Alyssa, Jessica and Kirstin; his great grandchildren, Bradley and Brett; and his siblings, Grace Wolbrink and Frank.
