He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Pizzio and Mary Pizzio (Goggulmetti); and his siblings, Elizabeth Ball, Theresa Straley and John Pizzio.

He is survived by: his children, Lee Ann Stonemetz, Jean Briggs and Stephen Pizzio. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
