David J Walker Obituary

David J. Walker, 57, of Moshannon, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on January 24, 1967, in Cheverly, MD, he was the son of Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Swancer) Walker of Clarence and the late George B. Walker. On March 26, 1999, in Philipsburg, he married Fran A. Lucas who survives at home.

David was a 1984 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. He worked for the Laborer Union 824-Bellefonte until his health forced him into retirement in 2017. He was of the Catholic faith.

David enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, and anything outdoors. He was a great socializer and was a member of the Clarence Moose and the Clarence American Legion. He was a proud member of the SAL Honor Guard for the Mountaintop area. He liked to watch the Antique Road Show, car races, and cooking shows on TV.

Along with his mother and wife, David is survived by one brother, Kenneth P. Walker of Belleville and one sister, Colleen D. Walker and her husband, Lester Sutton, of Virginia Beach, VA. He also had a huge circle of friends that loved him and thought of him as family. He will be missed by all that knew him.

There will be a public visitation on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe.
