She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Sherman; her parents, Kenneth McCarty and Mary Finan McCarty; her son Brian of Dunmore; and her sisters, Kate Meckley of Montoursville and Julia Roy of Laporte.

She is survived by: her son Kenneth (Nagwa) of Hollywood, MD; her daughter-in-law Denise Sherman; her grandchildren, Alexandria Sherman, Hollywood, MD, Brunswick and Hunter Sherman; and her siblings, Gerald McCarty (Louise) of Mesquite, NV, Joan Phillips (Doug), Troy, Barbara Gorrell and John McCarty (Kathy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
