With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert J. Kakareka (Moscow, Pennsylvania), born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 8, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Kakareka and Helen Kakareka (Klein); and his brothers-in-law, Raymond Joyce, Joseph Joyce and John Gallagher.
He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Kalwaytis (Gerald) and Richard Kakareka (Clare); and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Bilardi (Lawrence), Ann Marie Gallagher, Catherine Fitzgerald (John), Ellen Joyce and Margaret Perih (Walt). He is also survived by 84 nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
