He was predeceased by: his parents, William Butler and Florence Butler (Haines); and his siblings, Ann, Wilma, Esther, Harry, Charles and Ernest.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Butler (McLain); his children, Alan Butler of Phoenix, Ariz, Gerald Butler and Cathleen Wilbur (David) of Gillette, N. J.; and his granddaughter Stacy Castronuovo (Kelly).
