He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Schmieg and Marie Schmieg; and his pet Winnie. He is survived by: his wife Ruthanne Schmieg; his children, Joe Schmieg (Andrea), Corinne Brydges (Chris) and Stephanie Murray (Jaime); his grandchildren, Christopher, Jamie and Ian; and his pet Abby.
Services will be private due to coronavirus.
