He was predeceased by: his spouse Beverly Jean Smida (Scott); and his brother Eugene Smida. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Smida, Jr. (Joyce), Amy Belleno (George), Tim Smida (Terri) and Scott Smida (Rhianne); his grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Tanner, Tyler and Tony Smida; his sister Patty Smida; and his brother-in-law William Scott (Lora). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
