Marcella I. Mlodzienski Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marcella I. Mlodzienski of Moosic, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 25, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley; her parents, Joseph Gorniak and Amelia Kurowski Gorniak; her brother Richard Sr.; and her stepsiblings, Dorothy Cichon, Joan Nat and Rev. John Krafchak.
She is survived by: her children, Linda, Cindy and Dr. Alan; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashe and Sophia; her godson John Sutkowsky; her cousin Carolyn Grisko; and her sisters-in-law, Mildred and Leona Mlodzienski. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Semian Funeral Home (704 Union St, Taylor, PA 18517). A Mass was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church (1221 Prospect Ave, Scranton, PA 18505). A committal service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stanley and Marcella Mlodzienski Memorial Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation, 615 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton, or to a charity of your choice.
