The passing of Henrietta J. Helcoski Ameika of Moosic, Pennsylvania leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on April 3, 2025 at the age of 92. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Helcoski and Aleksandra Laskowski Helcoski; her husband Joseph Ameika; and her siblings, Edward, Charles, Henry, Lucille Minnich and Ann Orzel.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Vitale (Louis), Joseph Ameika (Camille) and Chris Pallo (Stephen); her grandchildren, Louis, Laura, Katherine and Helene; her great grandchildren, Delaney, Riley and Declan; and her niece Janet Graham. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Semian Funeral Home (704 Union St, Taylor, PA 18517). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Parish (312 Davis St, Scranton, PA 18505). A committal service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:15 PM to 1:30 PM at the St. Mary Czestochowa Cemetery (3335 Greenwood Ave, Moosic, PA 18507).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
