He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter and Pearl (Borowczak) of Poland; his wife Sandra Krawczynski (Pozek); and his sister Margaret Kumpfmiller (Kevin). He is survived by: his children, Sharon Harn (Joe) and John (Melissa Reft); his brother Stefan (Sandria Gottus); his grandchildren, Leona, Luke, Caroline, Annie and Ella; his nieces and nephews, Nick, Kevin, Lucy, Erin, Ryan and Jason; and his girlfriend Phyllis Hutson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Beaver County Humane Society in John's memory.
