With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Samuel Spering Sr. (Montrose, Pennsylvania), who passed away on August 21, 2023 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Louise Baker and Richard Alexander Spering; his sister Laura Marie Spering; his mother-in-law Dorothea Louise Hollister; and his brother-in-law Joseph Stichter.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Hollister Spering; his siblings, Henry Spering (Mary), Betsy Palilonis (Stew) of Lambertville, NJ and Sharon Stichter Cambridge; his father-in-law Harold Raymond Hollister; his brothers-in-law, Harold Hollister (Dorothy) of Lampasas and Brian Hollister (Kim) of Elk Lake; his children, Suzette Snyder (Bob) of Montoursville, Trudi Hepler (Brian) of New Milford, Sharon Watkins (Donny) of Dimock, Carla Spering (Steve) of Hallstead, Laureen Spering of East Stroudsburg and Richard Jr. Spering (Stacey) of Nazareth; his grandchildren, Benjamin (Hannah), Lydia (Robert), Luke (Kylie), Cassandra, Taylor (Bradley), Brett, Haley, Hunter (Shelby), Krystal, Joey, Emily, Alex, Madison and MacKenzie; and his great grandchild Elliott Alderson. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews along with great nieces and nephews.
