He was predeceased by: his spouse Karen Allen (Domasiewicz). He is survived by: his significant other Joanne Sorber; his children, Joe Bartkus and Tara Knappenberger (Lenny Bernard); his grandchildren, Alyssa Knappenberger and M. J. Knappenberger; his great grandchild Kolton Knappenberger; his aunt Gisela Domasiewicz; and his close friends, Bob Fernald, Nancy Fernald and Rose Mary Mikulka.
