It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Elaine (Gesford) Lunger (Montrose, Pennsylvania), who passed away on June 13, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Gesford and Ursula Gesford; her sister-in-law Lucille Gesford; her father-in-law Furman Lunger; and her granddaughter Reese Lunger.

She is survived by: her husband Atwood Lunger; her sons, Kirk Lunger (Laura), AJ Lunger (Chelsea) and Holden Lunger (Amelia); her siblings, Patricia Lane (Gary), Ken Gesford, Dennis Gesford (Susan), Karl Gesford (Colleen) and Brian Gesford; and her grandchildren, Mia, Beau, Ace, Vienna, Attie, Elaina, Rhett and Loretta Lunger.

In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Sky Lake, (501 William Law Road, Windsor, NY 13865), Janet's favorite peaceful escape.

“Janet and I held the same position at two different local school districts. When I started my position in 2014 I was thrown into the fire with very little training. Janet became my go to and was always so kind, patient, and willing to help. Our departments are very busy, but she was never too busy to assist me, and I found success in my position largely due to her guidance. She was a wonderful person and her family has my deepest sympathy.”
