Gary H. Ely Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary H. Ely of Montrose, Pennsylvania, born in Kingsley, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stuart "John" Ely and Lois Stevens Ely; his brother Duane Ely; his sons, Keith Wade Ely and Russell "Rusty" Duane Ely; his granddaughter Alayna Ely; and his brother-in-law Charles Henaghan.

He is survived by: his significant other Glenda Wells Ely; his children, Laura McCarey (Terry) and Guy David Ely (Jennifer); his daughters-in-law, Sharon Ely of Montrose and Joy Fitch McGrath of Wake Forest, NC.; his siblings, Merilys Henaghan of Binghamton, NY, Melanie Lasher of Kingsley, PA and Melvin Ely (Connie); his sister-in-law Cheryl Ely of Roxbury, NY.; and his grandchildren, David Lee Rider (Kristina), Wells Keith Rider, Mave McCarey (Adam Kilmer), Caitlin O'Reilly (Dennis), William Ely (Hayleigh Fekette), Annalise Ely, Olivia Easley (Nathanael), Keith David Ely and Jonah Ely. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
