He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gillingham and Elsie Allen Gillingham of Milford, Connecticut.; his wife Patricia Gillingham; and his children-in-law, Kenneth Ross and Sharon Gillingham.
He is survived by: his children, John Gillingham, Susan Ross, Edward Gillingham, Michael Gillingham, Peter Gillingham, Harold Gillingham and Dawn Gillingham. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to the Susquehanna County Library in Montrose, Pennsylvania to carry on his passion of literature.
