It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William E. Messersmith of Montoursville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 4, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Messersmith and Verona Messersmith; his daughter Doreen Messersmith; and his sister-in-law Nancy Messersmith. He is survived by: his wife Doris Auten; his children, Diane Haas (Marc), Doug Messersmith (Bonnie), Dave Messersmith (Annie) and Dan Messersmith (Amy); his grandchildren, Jessi Ayrer (Jea), Ben Haas (Marla), Casey Haas, Brandon Messersmith (Megan), Gretchen Boatman (Curt), Emma Messersmith, Isabella Messersmith, Samuel Messersmith, Nathan Messersmith and Olivia Messersmith; and his siblings, Ruth Erb (Earl), Dwight Messersmith and Nancy Gunzenhauser (Dennis). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
